How to leverage the impact from this book?

Dear readers,

I am pleased to let you know that we are pretty much on the right track to the publication date. As I had mentioned in the welcome note to this website, this book is not meant to be for profit making purposes. I find it much more worthwhile to use the hard work of my two years of after-hours to pay back to the society. I have therefore put some thoughts on how to use the surplus from sale of this book. One of the few good ideas, which has come to my mind is to leverage the impact from this book to promote market education and awareness.

How does this idea work?

The leverage of the knowledge from this book will work in a few different ways:

1- Sale of the book

One person buying and reading this book will mean one time leverage.

2- Multiple the impact through market education and supervision

It is my intention to use the surplus proceeds to fund additional prints for donation to lecturers & students (with outstanding academic records) of relevant universities as well as agencies involved in the capital market supervision. As lecturers have access to this book, they will be able to disseminate the knowledge through to many future generations of students, hence multiplying the effect in an effective manner. In a similar way, supervising agencies are in the best position to make an impact on the professional and strategic development of the market.

3- Multiple the number of readers through access to public resources

By donating free copies to the universities’ and public libraries, many disadvantaged students will be able to obtain access to the knowledge of this book. If one copy is read by 10 people, we can effectively build 10 times leverage of the reader base through the number of free copies.

I hope this idea will work. Ideas 2 and 3 are dependent on the success of Idea 1 (that is to sell the book). Your support to buy one copy of this book will make a difference to the academic life of many disadvantaged students and help leverage the knowledge contained in this book so that we will be one step closer to enhancing the professionalism and sophistication of Vietnam’s capital market.
